Supervision
Trust is the single greatest
feature we can offer our clients - trust that we can complete
the work in a safe, environmentally sound, and efficient way.
It is our management team that affords this trust.
Summit has a strong, experienced management team with clearly
defined roles and responsibilities; our management team has
an average of eight years of silviculture industry experience
each.
Summit management works as a team. We use frequent and structured
communication to ensure the safety of employees, spray quality,
spray efficacy, and the maintenance and integrity of the non-treatment
and environmentally sensitive areas
The entire spray management team is certified with the appropriate
provincial applicator certification.
Three levels of field management work together to provide
our clients maximum comfort and efficiency:
- Supervisors
- Mixers
- Assistant supervisors and monitors
Supervisors are the liaison between
you, the client, and Summit. It is a supervisor's responsibility
to ensure that an effective, two-way communication system
is in place so that both Summit and our clients are clear
on expectations.
Supervisors coordinate all aspects of a contract ensuring
efficiency is maintained throughout. They are ultimately responsible
and accountable for a contract's success.
Mixers ensure the safe handling of the herbicide solution
and mix. They ensure correct calibration and application rates
(litres/hectare). They monitor and report the weather, and
contribute to high-level decisions about the spray program.
Assistant supervisors and monitors train, observe,
and provide feedback to sprayers and ensure that quality coverage
and spray effectiveness in not compromised.
